This apparel not only sets a new bar for garments but also led to the creation of the Fashion For Good center in Amsterdam and Aly co-authoring an open source manual for the industry on sustainable apparel manufacturing.

Spiked drinks are a highly prevalent precursor to sexual abuse. We worked with this passionate team of entrepreneurs to find a portable and discrete method to easily test beverages for drugs. The SipChip allows a user to dip their finger into a drink and release a few drops onto the test strip. These sip chips can be mounted to a phone, keychain or piled into a place at the bar to signal predators to stay clear.

Aly cofounded this leading ocean plastic marketplace by scouring the planet for ocean plastic supply chain partners. Leveraging his experience in manufacturing, Aly was then able to greatly expand the pool of manufacturers to successfully work with the materials and launch several products in the market. From this he develops a framework on how to address our challenges ahead.

At Mayor Meeker’s request, we facilitated more than 120 members of the community to design the very center square of the city. From this charrette, City Plaza was designed to be Raleigh’s center stage, with facilities for lighting, projection, gas and electricity to serve a wide variety of civic showcases. It remains the focus of city events to this day.

We worked with the city of Raleigh to develop the first feature of the largest city park projects of modern times in North America. This project was able to save a 40 acre stand of forest and instead sculpt a challenging amount of dirt-fill into a landmark vantage point and soccer bowls.
